The Manjaro project has released Manjaro 16.10 Fringilla, latest stable milestone of Arch based rolling GNU/Linux distribution that offers improved user experience. This release is a result of two months of development effort since after release of Manjaro 16.08.
As usual, the official manjaro release coming in both Xfce and KDE flavors. Xfce edition being the flagship release of project has received the attention it receives. During current release cycle, the project was mainly focusing on polishing user experience of desktop and window manager. The team claims, Manjaro one among the distributions which offers leading Xfce experience. Also, this release defaults Vertex-Maia theme, which is already used as default theme in KDE edition.
While the KDE edition is a powerful, mature desktop environment with unique look and feel. Current release ships a blend of Plasma 5.8 and KDE Apps 16.08. The team has done a significant amount work to make it as flexible, and stable as Plasma 4 series.
