Mr Jeff Hoogland of Bodhi Linux has announced availability of Bodhi Linux 4.0.0, latest stable release of Ubuntu LTS based GNU/Linux distribution that offers a simplified user experience with it's own desktop environment called Moksha.
Bodhi Linux 4.0.0 is coming with Moksha Desktop 0.2.1, latest stable release of lightweight, simple, user friendly desktop environment initially forked from Enlightenment 17.x. Since the initial fork, Moksha desktop has evolved a lot without making significant change in user experience. This will help users to stick with their old enlightenment experience with latest technologies.
The bad news is, Bodhi Linux does not offer a direct upgrade mechanism to upgrade from earlier 3.2.x series. Users need to install 4.0.0 series freshly if they want to migrate their system to newer release. However, users can opt to stay with their 3.x installation as it is supported till 2019. While, Bodhi Linux 4.0.0-prerelease users can upgrade their system to stable release using regular system update mechanism.
