It is unusual in GNU/Linux world to ship two releases in consequent days. It happens only when there are serious issues with former release and the developer want to patch it immediately. Just one day after release of Bodhi Linux 4.3.0, Mr Jeff Hoogland, developer of Bodhi Linux has announced availability of Bodhi Linux 4.3.1, an unscheduled release of the distribution.
The Bodhi Linux 4.3.0 was failing to add official project repository after installation. This issue will affect users who installed Bodhi Linux from latest standard installation image. Considering it as a serious issue that requires a non-trivial fix, updated installation images were released.
If you have already installed Bodhi Linux v4.3.0, you can fix this issue by adding bodhi linux repository in /etc/apt/source.list. It can be added by writing following line in source.list file.
deb http://packages.bodhilinux.com/bodhi xenial b4mainOther than the bug fix, all changes in Bodhi v4.3.0 remains the same.
Today I am pleased to announce the release of Bodhi Linux 4.3.0. This is a normal update release and it comes three months after the release of Bodhi 4.2.0. Existing Bodhi 4.x.y users do not need to reinstall as the primary goal of this update release is to simply keep the current ISO image up to date. This release image includes EFL 1.19.1, Terminology 1.1.0, Ephoto 1.5, and Linux kernel 4.11.
