Linux Lite 3.0 is a powerful distribution : Review

Linux Lite is an Ubuntu LTS GNU/Linux distribution that offers out of the box experience without compromising simplicity and usefulness. It is using lightweight Xfce desktop so that it can run without consuming too much of system resources. At the same time, it is designed in such a manner that, this lightweight desktop does not come in the cost of functionality. It is able to provide full desktop experience with this lightweight desktop environment.

One of the core value of Linux Lite is compactness. The default installation of Linux Lite does not come with a lot of applications. That does not mean that it is a minimal edition. It includes all essential packages and the rest is left to users choice. The Lite Software of Linux Lite will help users to easily install additional software packages without much pain.

Recently released Linux Lite 3.0 is based on Ubuntu 16.04 LTS. Linux Lite 3.0 comes with a lot of new features, and a completely different look. It includes all essential software packages with a small ISO having size less than 1 GB.

Linux Lite runs only the lightweight Xfce desktop environment -- but a lightweight desktop environment does not detract from this distro's usability or functionality. It would be just as accurate to call it "Linux Power." This distro has numerous strong traits in its favor. Besides Xfce, another factor that does make Linux Lite what its name implies is its default software base. Linux Lite does not install excessive programs to clutter up menus and home directories.
