The Ubuntu team announced release of Ubuntu 14.04.4 LTS, latest stable release of Ubuntu 14.04.x series. This release announcement is applicable for Ubuntu cloud, desktop and server systems and also for other official Ubuntu flavors including Kubuntu, Edubuntu, Xubuntu, Mythubuntu, Ubuntu GNOME, Lubuntu, Ubuntu Kylin and Ubuntu Studio.
This release comes with an updated version of kernel and X stack for new installations, which enable support for new hardware components. Also, this point release comes with a lot of updates and enhancements.

As usual, this point release includes many updates, and updated installation media has been provided so that fewer updates will need to be downloaded after installation.
