Alpine Linux 3.3.0 Released

The Alpine Linux team announced release of Alpine Linux 3.3.0, first stable release in 3.3.x series. Alpine Linux is an independently evolved general purpose GNU/Linux distribution targeting advanced users who prefer security, simplicity and resource efficiency.



According to official release announcement, following are some updated packages included in this release.

  • isohybrid boot images
  • refactored initramfs. alpine_dev boot option no longer needed and better support for cryptroot, lvm, mdadm.

  • qt5 5.5
