Netrunner Desktop 17.01 Baryon released

The Netrunner team has happily announced immediate availability of Netrunner Desktop 17.01 Baryon, latest stable update of Debian based GNU/Linux distribution offering cutting edge Plasma experience. This release announcement is only applicable for x86_64 systems.

Netrunner 17.01 has moved it's based from Debian Jessy branch to 2016.12.12 snapshot of upcoming Debian Stretch which implies system can be kept on a certain version of stack, while providing option to enable debian testing repositories and get continuously tested updates.

Unlike many other popular distributions, Netrunner ships several day to day applications to make your desktop ready on first installation itself. Important packages included in Netrunner Desktop edition includes KDEnlive, GIMP, VLC, LibreOffice, Audacious, Steam, Skype, Transmission, Virtualbox, Krita, Inkscape ..etc
