The GNOME Foundation, officially announced release of GNOME 3.18, latest stable release of world's most widely used open source desktop environment. This GNOME release is a result of 6 months of continuous development effort and it includes more than 25000 changes contributed by 772 contributors.
According to release announcement, following are some highlights of this release.
- Google Drive integration in Files
- Firmware updates through Software
- Automatic screen brightness
- Touchpad gestures
- Several new applications: Calendar and Characters
- Significant improvements to Files, Boxes and Polari
- And, as always, there are many other smaller changes and bug fixes!
