The budgie-remix project is looking for best wallpapers to ship with upcoming budgie-remix 16.10 Yakkety Yak. The project has created a group in Flickr as a part of wallpaper competition and has invited entries from all interested people, despite of the fact whether they are currently budgie-remix user or not.
Budgie-Remix is an Ubuntu based GNU/Linux distribution that features beautiful, lightweight, full featured budgie desktop environment. Currently budgie-remix is an unofficial community distribution, however, the project is actively working on the process to be an official community flavor of Ubuntu so that it can get more support and visibility. Towards this goal, budgie-remix maintainers has hosted all budgie-remix packages, and most of these packages are accepted in Ubuntu 16.10 official repository.
The wallpaper competition by budgie-remix project was started on 5th August and the last date for wallpaper submission is not announced yet. The project is looking for wallpapers that can be used on desktop background, lock screens and login screen. Wallpapers are expected to be in compliment with Arc theme - the default theme of budgie-remix. Also, it is an extra benefit if wallpaper is able reflect the idea of Yakkety Yak - code name for upcoming release.
A complete list of rules is published in Flicker group for wallpaper contest.
