Korora 24 released

One month after release of Fedora 24, Korora project announced release of Korora 24, latest stable release of Fedora based GNU/Linux distribution that is will known for combining Fedora with customized user interfaces to provide a better user experience. Korora 24 will be known by the code name Sheldon.


In addition to all changes and improvements in Fedora 24, following are some notable highlights of Korora 24.
  • Installation images are only available for 64 bit architectures. However, existing users of 32 bit distributions can upgrade to new release. This decision was made considering reduced user base over the years.
  • A KDE release is not yet available as it was causing some problem. Those who prefer to use KDE version of Korora can manually upgrade their system.
  • Pharlap - Driver manager for Korora - is deprecated and is not shipped with Korora 24. Additional related concerns will be addressed by IRC and forum.

  • GNOME 3.20
  • MATE 1.14
  • Xfce 4.12
