HandyLinux 2.5 released, based on Debian 8.5

A few weeks after release of Debian 8.5, latest update in Debian 8.5 Jessy series, HandyLinux team has announced availability of HandyLinux 2.5, latest update in Debian based French GNU/Linux distributions 2.x series. Since this is an update and not a completely new release, there are not much features to highlight.
Existing users of HandyLinux 2.x series can directly migrate to this updated

Two months after release of MATE Desktop 1.14, Ubuntu MATE team has announced availability of MATE Desktop 1.14 for Ubuntu MATE 16.04 and later editions. This release of MATE Desktop is not yet available in official Ubuntu repositories. So Ubuntu MATE team has prepared one PPA(Personal Package Archive) for MATE Desktop 1.14 that is compatible with Ubuntu MATE 16.04.

The Deepin project has announced release of Deepin OpenSymbol - a collection of symbols based on Wingdings. These symbol includes gestures, shorthand notation, arrows and others to represent actions and objects in real world. The OpenSybmol is an attempt to renovate Microsoft's Wingdings which was released on 1990s.
