Sam Geeraerts of gNewSense announced release of gNewSense 4.0, latest stable release of Debian based GNU/Linux distribution that completely adheres guide lines of Free Software Foundation(FSF). Following guide lines of Free Software Foundation means, absence of any non-free component in distribution, including Linux Kernel blobs.
First Alpha release of gNewSense 4.0 was released 17 months back and users reports that it is almost stable for last one year. gNewSense 4.0 comes with GNOME 3.x and it is available for three different architectures which includes i386, amd64 and mipsel.

I hereby announce the release of gNewSense 4, codenamed Ucclia. It's based on a solid Debian, modified to respect the Free Software Foundation's and is available for 3 architectures: i386, amd64 and mipsel (Lemote Yeeloong).
