The Black Lab team has launched Black Lab Enterprise Linux 8 SP1, latest stable release of enterprise class of operating system built over Ubuntu 16.04 LTS. This release of Black Lab is a hybrid edition which can be used either as full fledged desktop operating system or as an integrated cloud operating system which comes with online applications.
Black Lab 8 SP1 is shipped with KDE 5.5 which will offer a stable user experience to the users. Other packages included in this release includes, LibreOffice 5.2, Firefox 49.0, Linux Kernel 4.4.x ..etc. Being an Ubuntu 16.04 LTS based distribution, this release will be supported till 2021.
