Linux Lite 3.6 beta announced with repository mirror chooser and search enabled documentations

The Linux Lite team has announced availability of Linux Lite 3.6 beta for testing. There were numerous updates in Linux Mint since announcement of previous stable release, Linux Lite 3.4. The Linux Lite 3.6 beta release mainly features a simple repository mirror chooser and search engine enabled documentations.

Lite Sources is a new GUI based application developed by Linux Lite team which helps users to choose a mirror for downloading/installing Linux Lite branded applications. You can check status of various Linux Lite repository mirrors located around the globe and choose the one that is near to your location. These mirrors includes Linux Lite branded applications like Lite Welcome, Lite Software, Lite User ..etc.

Search integration with help manual was a long awaited feature in Linux Lite. It enables users to search the documentation for desired topic and read it easily.
